Its name pays homage to the peoples of the Colombian plain that inhabit the depths of the region from Arauca to Vichada. Among its most important traditions is the carving of pieces of wood with spiritual meanings based on the interpretation of their dreams. Each piece they create is unique, because it is born from a vision, a story, a thought, or a cosmic character. Because of this, carpenters must have a superior level of mastery of the material, in order to make unrepeatable creations out of wood.
